With a special emphasis on our young generation, we welcome all members of the public to join us for a day packed with thrilling learning, discoveries, and non-stop fun!

Get hands-on with asteroid & space research, delve deeper into the exciting world of STEAM, hear from space experts and astronauts, and engage in interactive space-themed workshops for all the family.

The workshops will be available throughout the day, offering space exploration computer games, robotics programming initiation, painting on a big paper-made asteroid, turning meteor data into music, discovering space rovers, a guided visit to a pop-up planetarium, and engaging in even more fun activities.

The confirmed topics of the round-table discussions are:

  • Asteroids, Comets, and Space Missions
  • From Data to Art. Images and Sounds of Space
  • Space Resources for Exploration: Moon, Mars, and Beyond
  • Space Education in Luxembourg
  • Past and Future Manned Missions
  • Finance in Space

At 14.00, the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA), Asteroid Foundation’s main sponsor, will announce the selection of its “2023 Astronaut for a Day” programme and present 25 finalists plus 10 ‘reserve astronauts’. The announcement will be made in the presence of Luxembourg’s Minister of Economy, Franz Fayot, the Minister of Higher Education, Claude Meisch, and the Minister of Sports, Georges Engel.
