Organized by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR), Researchers at School (previously known as 'Chercheurs à l'école') is back for its 15th edition. During the week from Monday 17 to Friday 21 March 2025, researchers working in Luxembourg will visit secondary schools throughout the country to share their fascinating profession!
The interactive sessions are specifically aimed for students in their final grades (i.e., those aged 16 and above). These sessions last 50-90 minutes and can take place during regular school hours or after school.
How to register
Register your class HERE until Monday 23 December 2024.
Due to a high volume of applications and a limited number of researchers, we operate on a 'first come, first served' basis.
Additional information
Even if research is increasingly covered in the media, the profession of researcher in itself is still not well known by the general public and especially by young people. Why and how is research carried out? What does it bring? Are the things we learn at school useful in research? What are the fields of research in Luxembourg? What is the daily life of a researcher? Are there professional opportunities in Luxembourg in research? ... - to name just a few examples of questions that students ask scientists. The experience of the last few years has shown great interest on the part of the students, who are often highly motivated. Interventions are not a priori directly related to a specific subject, but rather of a general and personal nature. They are not scientific speeches, but a real interactive exchange between researchers and students!
